The <\/SPAN>W<\/SPAN>ater <\/SPAN>M<\/SPAN>anagement <\/SPAN>A<\/SPAN>reas<\/SPAN> (WMA's)<\/SPAN> are the areas whereby regional or catchment levels <\/SPAN>are <\/SPAN>managed. The National Water Act (Act 36 of 1998) requires the progressive development of a National Water Resource Strategy (NWRS), which provides a framework for the protection, use, development, conservation, management and control of water resources for the country as a whole. <\/SPAN><\/P>
