This map shows the revised volume of water, as per Groundwater Taking Zone per hectare per annum, that may be abstracted under General Authorisation in terms of Section 39 of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No.36 of 1998), and specified in Government Gazette No. 26187, Notice No. 399 (26 March 2004), Table 1.2. The map also shows the Subterranean Government Water Control Areas excluded from General Authorisation for the disposal of waste, as specified in Table 4.1.
